This was the composer that first turned me on to the world of classical music. It is still my favourite all time opus of any composer. Jaap Schroeder and the Academy of Ancient Music was the introductory ensemble.

As with any first heard music a different version always sounds a bit weird at first. Not as exciting or dynamic as Christopher Hogwood's Academy but it has grown on... This was the composer that first turned me on to the world of classical music. It is still my favourite all time opus of any composer. Jaap Schroeder and the Academy of Ancient Music was the introductory ensemble.

As with any first heard music a different version always sounds a bit weird at first. Not as exciting or dynamic as Christopher Hogwood's Academy but it has grown on me. Slower in tempo and more "flowery' it is none the less very polished and well played.

I am just a music lover with no claim to any expertise. This sounds good and I recommend it!
