  • MAHLER: Symphony No. 1, “Titan”
The Symphony kicks off its inaugural season at the Granada with a truly transcendent work: Mahler’s hauntingly evocative, sonically spectacular First Symphony. Th e Perlman-Schmidt Bailey Trio, hailed by the Santa Barbara News-Press as “an outstanding ensemble of young thoroughbreds who play to the highest standards,” will be featured in Beethoven’s supremely elegant Triple Concerto. Th e historic concert will open with a fanfare by veteran fi lm and concert composer Bruce Broughton (“Silverado”), commissioned for the festive occasion.
